The staff were really friendly, which I appreciated. But somehow the whole visit still felt just okay to me. I guess friendliness makes a big difference, but not enough to make everything feel better, so I’d probably land around 3 stars

The locker rooms were really nice. My sister and I both noticed how clean the lockers were, and the showers were in good shape too. There was plenty of room to change, so it never felt rushed or cramped. Overall, just a comfortable and well-kept setup.

I’ve been to a handful of First Ascent events now, and they’ve all been a really good time. Compared to some other climbing gyms I’ve visited, the events here feel a lot more approachable and less like you need to already be part of the “scene” to enjoy them. The programming is clearly thought out, but it’s still casual, with a nice mix of climbing, social time, and little challenges that keep things interesting.
The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the schedule is easy to figure out on the site, which I appreciate. I also like that you can show up by yourself and not feel awkward, which isn’t always the case at other places. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking to meet people, climb more, or just do something fun that doesn’t feel too intense.

Went top roping with friends it turned into a whole little adventure. The staff were super helpful and made everything feel safe, so we could just focus on having fun, cheering each other on, and pretending we were conquering mountains instead of indoor walls. Great night overall.

I did some lead climbing here and it was... I mean, it was okay overall. The routes were decent and the staff seemed friendly enough, but the gym felt a little crowded while I was there. Some of the clips and holds also seemed like they could use a closer check. The belay check was quick, maybe a bit too quick for me personally. Not a bad place, just felt like I expected a little more for the price.

I ordered a few climbing bits from First Ascent, and once they finally arrived, I was genuinely happy with the quality. The harness feels solid and well made, the stitching looks clean, and the carabiners don’t have that cheap, flimsy feel at all. I’ve used everything a couple of times now and haven’t had any issues. The only frustrating part was waiting longer than I expected for the order to show up, but the gear itself is really good.

The route setting here is genuinely really good. The climbs feel creative and fun without getting repetitive, and there’s always something fresh to try whenever I come in. Definitely one of the things that keeps me coming back.

I’ve ended up meeting some really cool people just chatting between climbs, and that makes it feel like more than just a gym. It’s a really comfortable place to learn and get better.

I took a beginner class here and felt like it was a really good intro. The instructor was patient and explained things clearly, which helped me feel a lot less nervous as I was getting started.

I’ve been to First Ascent a handful of times now, and overall it’s been a clean spot 🙂 The climbing areas don’t feel dusty or gross, the mats seem well taken care of, and the bathrooms have been decent too, which I always pay attention to at gyms.

I’d say the only small downside is that the locker area can get a bit messy when it’s busy, and I noticed some chalky spots on the benches. Not a huge deal though, it still feels clean enough, and I’d definitely go back.

My kid did have a really good time, so I’m happy about that. But the program felt busy and a bit overwhelming at times. I would’ve appreciated the staff acknowledging it or offering a quick apology, because it did affect the experience a little.

The membership is okay overall, but it feels a little expensive for what you get. I mean, if you’re using it all the time, it might make sense, but for me it’s kind of hard to justify the cost.

But this is where it got annoying, the mats felt really crowded, so it was hard to relax or take turns without feeling like you were in someone else’s way. Still a good spot, just maybe better when it’s less busy...

I’m new to climbing, and to be fair, the staff was helpful and made sure I felt safe while learning the basics. I did get a decent introduction and appreciated the guidance. That said, a few parts felt a little rushed, especially as a first-timer trying to take everything in. I think it would be fair to give beginners a bit more time and patience, since it can be a lot at first. Overall, a good experience, just with some room to improve.

The gym itself is fine, nothing amazing but it gets the job done. But the day pass price is damn high for what you’re getting. Feels a bit like a rip-off, honestly.

Sometimes it gets so crowded it feels like the whole city showed up at once. I still like the place, but dealing with the crowds can be seriously frustrating when you just want to enjoy yourself.

It’s a nice place overall, honestly. I just wish the hours worked a bit better for me. Like, some days I want to stop by after work, but by then it feels kind of tight, you know? The weekend hours could be a little better too. Not a bad spot at all… just wish it was a bit more flexible
